The Fraunhofer Research and Development Center Electromobility Bavaria (FZEB) is one of the largest departments at the Würzburg facility. The department is engaged in the development of battery materials and battery process technology on a pilot scale. Extensive testing, inspection and analytical procedures round off the comprehensive portfolio. For our FZEB, we are looking for YOU as a manager as soon as possible. **What you will do** **You**: - lead one of the fastest growing departments at the ISC both in terms of technical content and strategy - have an overview of the current technology trends and will develop the department further in a future-oriented manner - expand our customer and partner network through your comprehensive market knowledge in the field of energy technology - lead a highly motivated team of about 40 employees and shape their professional and personal development **What you bring to the table** **You**: - have successfully completed a university degree in the field of natural sciences or engineering - have profound knowledge and many years of expertise in electrochemistry and battery technologies, especially in the field of lithium-ion technologies - have experience in setting up and further developing a technologically complex topic - have several years of management experience and can motivate your employees within a large department - enrich the interdisciplinary teamwork of our institute with your independent and responsible approach - present yourself in a convincing and confident manner on the international stage and view customer acquisition and lobbying as a positive challenge - have additional experience in raising public funds on a national and European level and have a good flair for political decision-making processes on a state and federal level. In the course of your activities, you always ensure the sustainability, specifically on the efficient use of resources and energy in order to get a little closer to our common Fraunhofer goal of being climate neutral by 2030.
