**As Team Lead Global Transportations your work will focus on these responsibilities**:

- Leading a team of global experts to handle the global web of transports.
- Develop and manage the transportation budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Communication and coordination with internal departments on all job levels.
- Develop and implement global transportation strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor optimization strategies for operational processes. Create business cases for cost-efficient implementation.
- Sourcing and analysis of logistics and transport data and visualisation for data driven decisions. Present evaluations and analyses
- Define and manage KPIs to steer and improve global transport chains.
- Selection and negotiation of service providers. Implementing Service Level Agreements and contracts to ensure a high level of quality.
- Manage and oversee the performance of transportation providers, including carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with international transportation regulations and standards.
- Long-term volume planning with tendering and negotiation of transport packages and storage locations.
- Implement and maintain transportation management systems (TMS) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers and customers.

**To be successful in this role we expect you to have**:

- Min. 5 years of International Forwarding knowledge and experience
- Min 1 year of experience and skills in leading international teams
- Continuous improvement skills
- Readiness to travel internationally
- Experience in the maritime industry is seen as an advantage
- Good negotiation and presentation skills
- Cost awareness and effectiveness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
- In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.**Why you and us?**
