**Job Description**:
Clinical Research Coordinator A:
The person in this position will assist in the coordination of one or more clinical research projects that may include clinical trials and/or observational studies. The Clinical Research Coordinator A (CRC-A) will be responsible for 1) identifying potential participants from Penn Nephrology outpatient clinics, explaining the research study, and obtaining informed consent; 2) following participants throughout study participation; 3) obtaining data through direct interactions with participants and from the electronic medical record; 4) accurately entering study data into the data management system; 5) maintaining participant study files and site regulatory files; and 6) participating in regular conference calls with the other study sites.

Clinical Research Coordinator B;

In addition to the above, the CRC-B may also assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and be responsible for the organization of study regulatory documents. The CRC-B will work closely with the study Principal Investigator and Project Manager to accomplish study goals, identify problems, and develop solutions. The CRC-B will also perform additional duties as needed. The CRC-B will have less supervision and will need to use more independent judgment when managing their assigned research studies.

**Qualifications**:
Clinical Research Coordinator A: Bachelor’s degree required and 1-2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Clinical Research Coordinator B: Bachelor’s degree required and 2-4 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Regulatory experience preferred.
