Job Description Summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator A, in collaboration with 3 other positions of equal rank on the same team, will be responsible for coordinating research activities among several Principal Investigators in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Medicine including Dr. Benjamin Abella, Dr. Jeremy Cannon (Dept of Surgery) and others. Projects will include studies of COVID19, as well as studies of the physiology of acute trauma and critical illness. Duties of this role may include screening and enrolling research participants, maintaining regulatory compliance, abstracting and entering data, developing research materials, coordinating conference calls and meetings, assisting with training, and performing other duties as assigned. This position may involve approximately 10-20 hours of on-call time per week and will require work on nights or weekends.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA and IRB guidelines
- Assure compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements includes: collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentations.
- Oversee study preparation and blood sample processing and analysis
- Database management and analysis
- Ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining equipment
- Educate patients and family members
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

This position is contingent upon grant funding.
