Engineering Director, Ardagh Metal Packaging

in any AMP-E office location

**Role Description**:
The Engineering Director oversees the full project management of medium and large size CAPEX projects for AMP-Europe as well as the plant process support. The role enables plants to deliver on their strategic and business performance objectives (e.g. efficiencies, spoilage, costs) and drives the Engineering functional team to deliver all plant process support needs.

**Key responsibilities**:
to drive development of CAPEX budgets, to participate in Strategic planning, and to ensure planning and execution of all approved projects on-time and in budget
for cost effective implementation of technology

**to drive process engineering teams to**:
Enable plants to achieve operational performance goals
Identify root causes of process problems, develop and implement solutions
Support to train plant associates in can and end making processes
Support to establish, document and share Best Practices for can and end making
for standardization of manufacturing processes and equipment
to collaborate with the Global Manufacturing Organisation
to assure standardization of project management and support processes
to support sharing of knowledge globally across all plants/businesses
to establish equipment supplier relationship and strategy in cooperation with Operations and Global Procurement
to evaluate new suppliers and technologies in cooperation with Operations, Innovation and Procurement

**Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5+ years of experience in project management, including managing a Project Management Office and handling the complete lifecycle of a project with medium-to-large project teams
5+ years of experience in metal packaging operations leadership
3+ years of experience in leading international teams
Project / program management methodologies, techniques, processes, approaches and tools
Strong Financial skills (budget / cost savings analysis)
Mentoring and development of Engineering team resources
