**What we’re looking for**:
The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as a pivotal advisor, offering comprehensive legal counsel spanning various business law domains crucial to the organization's operations. Responsibilities include managing legal affairs, advising on government and regulatory compliance, reviewing legal data, and formulating appropriate legal strategies. The role requires expertise in corporate matters, securities compliance, transactional drafting, license agreements, data privacy, risk management, and contract oversight, ensuring the organization operates within legal frameworks while facilitating its growth and sustainability.

**Responsibilities**:

- Advising departments and conducting legal research on their behalf.
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents/reports.
- Developing litigation strategies.
- Gathering information/evidence.
- Updating and consulting with middle and senior associates.
- Supervising paralegals or legal assistants from time to time.
- Providing legal advice/counsel in business-related areas of expertise (e.g., corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, corporate governance, ethics, etc.).
- Researching, analyzing and interpreting proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Identifying, evaluating, and addressing issues of legal risk.
- Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and/or approving legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters.
- Close inter-divisional cooperation and coordination on legal projects - Ongoing process optimization.
- Comprehensively identifying and solving all legal risks within the scope of team/project responsibility in short and long-term.
- Independent, cross-departmental advice on a wide range of legal issues, in particular in the area of contracts, like international contract law (including supplier, carrier and SaaS contracts), as well as general terms and conditions law (B2B and B2C) and warranty law
- Creation of internal guidelines, (contract) templates and guidelines
- Conducting settlement negotiations, correspondence with customers, lawyers, external service providers, authorities and courts
- Conception and implementation of training courses in the aforementioned areas
- Legal support and implementation of international cross-departmental projects, e.g. in the areas direct and indirect purchasing, marketplaces.

**Qualifications**:

- Two successfully completed state examinations in law
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a company or law firm
- Willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law
- Structured, flexible and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong procedural and analytical thinking skills as well as the ability to structure, analyze and summarize complex issues in a targeted manner
- Strong service orientation and quality awareness
- Hands-on mentality and ability to work in a team, understanding and enthusiasm for economic contexts
- Very good written and spoken German (at least C1) and English (at least B2), further language skills, especially Russian, an advantage
