**About the opportunity**: We are looking for a **(Senior) Legal Counsel with experience in Regulatory law and Compliance** who will help us shape the legal team at Kadmos further. Since we're an early-stage company, you will need to be comfortable with change as well as be willing to bring new ideas to the table. Join us and become part of our journey to empower the lives of millions **What you'll be doing**: - Help to drive legal team activities. Support our General Counsel in helping the founding team to consistently iterate upon strategic decisions by providing personal legal opinions and taking care of manifold and international legal aspects of our business. - Take care of legal documentation. Prepare, revise and review legal templates and sample documents, and develop sound compliance and anti-money laundering policies. Draft contracts and engage in negotiations with key financial service providers and other partners together with our General Counsel. - Assume specific tasks and responsibilities. Foster your counselling abilities by being the first point of contact for all external and internal stakeholders with respect to compliance topics. - Help develop further our regulation & licensing topics. Help our General Counsel to initiate necessary research and to prepare the process of getting us relevant payment licenses. - Support the product expansion. Participate in company-wide projects from the legal side (e.g. lending, crypto, etc.). **Your profile**: - Min. 2-3 years of professional experience in areas of regulatory law and compliance, either in a major law firm or in the legal department of a bank, a major financial services provider or a start-up - Successful completion of the first and second German state examinations in law with above-average results (17 points or more in the aggregate) - Demonstrated ability to manage legal work in a multijurisdictional environment and coordinate with external stakeholders - An ambitious character with a strong interest in the global fintech scene as well as legal questions in the context of software development. - Fluency in English and German. **Why us**: - Opportunity to work in a company with direct social impact - Attractive compensation & stock options - Latest equipment, to ensure you have everything needed - Yearly Learning & Development budget - Open & International environment - Fantastic office in the heart of Berlin - Hybrid "office first" WFH policy - Free lunch & dinner at the office **About the company**: - Kadmos is on an ambitious mission to revolutionise salary payments to migrant workers.
