**Intro Paragraph**:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated _Head of Engineering Technologies_ to join our dynamic and innovative team in Berlin. As a member of our department _Engineering & System Integration_, you will be responsible for leading a team of product engineers/ SMEs and other specialists. The goal is to provide our design teams with in depth understood PV key components to be considered in the project specific designs. You will also be tasked with managing our commodity quality assurance approach from Engineering side and collaborating with other departments -namely Procurement
- to ensure the success of our projects.

**Your Job**:

- Understanding of / deep dive in latest development in terms of equipment technologies used in our PV power plant projects. From a System Integrator perspective: how can we utilize functionality and benefit from that? How to consider in our projects? Respective Design approach?
- Developing engineering guides elaborating the specific and characteristics of new technologies and products in the PV industry to enhance and facilitate the in-house understanding of such products and allow for their integration into standard planning process.
- Developing engineering perspectives on technologies like Agri-PV, Floating PV, ESS, Green Hydrogen etc. How to design? How to assure techno-commercially optimised project deigns?
- Support in further development of own design approaches and procedures and tools used in ever larger and more complex projects in the area of conflict between (i) safe and efficient buildability, (ii) optimisation of the value of every single project, (iii) optimised utilisation of the main components used in the projects, (iv) international and local standards and regulations
- Support in bringing together different aspects of engineering in the still relatively young, constantly developing and further professionalising PV industry.
- Being the Engineering interface with the Procurement department and support to negotiate project supply/framework contracts with vendors
- Lead and develop further the strategy for global commodity quality assurance in alignment with the Procurement department. Maintain and operate the system on a general and on project level.
- Lead a group of product engineers/SMEs and develop and maintain the main technical specification and standard documentation to be used with different suppliers and more standardized on the project level
- Lead a small team of SCADA experts and therefore develop strategy for SCADA hardware concept taking into consideration new challenges in the energy markets i.e Cyber security
- Being part of the ibvogt´s lessons learned approach from PV equipment qualification via engineering design and project build out to operation and back: What do we learn from realized projects? How to improve design when it comes to the impact of specific component behavior?

**Your profile**:

- Academic degree in the field of Electrical Engineering, Engineering in Renewable Energies, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- As a minimum at least 10 years of professional experience in the above mentioned field
- Very good know-how about characteristics of PV power plants and its main components and deep understanding of techno-economic aspects of solar projects
- If the expertise is more on the electrical side, then please also have explicit knowledge and experience in the area of mechanical components and construction work and vice versa.
- Familiar with engineering design and optimization process for PV power plants
- Expert in Quality Assurance aspects for key equipment
- Willingness to learn about new technologies
- Languages: English (native speaker or excellent command). Knowledge of German and/or another European language will be helpful.
