We are an early-stage startup founded by the serial entrepreneurs Dr. Johannes Becher (Getsurance, Rocket Internet) and Dmitry Muzhikov (Alteos, Coya, Kreditech). Embea is backed by top-tier investors such as Atlantic Labs (GetYourGuide, Gorillas, Choco).
**Salary**: €75,000 - €110,000 + Equity
**Your Impact**
Design your own insurance products and see them live in days, not years. Skip long decision cycles and corporate politics. You strategically define product features, pricing structures, and underwriting criteria in this role, working closely with our Business Development team. This role is for you if you’re looking for a senior position with lots of freedom to innovate, responsibility, and purpose.
**Your Mission**
- Develop innovative life insurance products for various European markets
- Manage our product portfolio, and improve it continuously to meet the needs of our target markets
- Design and develop innovative pricing structures for our products
- General management of and guiding of underwriting efforts and policy requirements
- Draft and compile the wording (terms & conditions) and other legal documents of our insurance products
- Leverage internal and external data and tools for data analysis
- Build business cases for our Embedded Insurance partnerships, evaluate opportunities & risks
- Present your product ideas to various stakeholders, report on their performance
**What you need to succeed**
- Minimum of 3 years experience in product management, insurance pricing, or underwriting in a (re)insurer, InsurTech company, MGA, or broker
- Strong expert knowledge of Life and Health insurance products
- An actuarial background is a plus
- You have work experience in the European insurance industry
- You have basic legal knowledge of applicable insurance laws and guidelines
- Knowledge of data analysis tools
- You have a strong interest in technology and are motivated to deal with legal and commercial issues relating to the digitization of insurance contracts
- You are a customer-focused and solution-oriented thinker
- You are a hands-on person with an entrepreneurial mindset, a high degree of creativity, initiative, and independence
- You are proficient in English (German or another European language is a plus)
