What you’ll do & Who you are We're looking for a Junior Accountant/ Accounts Receivables Specialist (d/f/m) to join our Financial Accounting & Controlling Team in Berlin. Our Financial Accounting & Controlling Team in Germany is responsible for a broad range of activities and works with local teams (FP&A, Legal, HR), the Central Regional Accounting team in Amsterdam, and Central Functions in Barcelona. You will report to the local Head of Accounting, mobile.de - This is a hybrid role (2-3 office days/ week), and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg. About the role: The Junior Accountant is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivables process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of outgoing invoices and maintaining the payment process. What you'll do: - Preparation, recording, verification, analysis and reporting of accounts receivable transactions; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures- post customer payments on a timely basis, analyse and reconcile bill runs to detect fraud and monitor the dunning strategy- Maintain and adjust master data and tracking of KPIs- Reconcile customer statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger accounts, related financial statements and reports- Collaboration with customers and internal departments to resolve inquiries and issues- Collaboration with FP&A, Accounting and Operations- Support month-end closing and reporting activities- Support the Accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks Your profile: - You have a Bachelor - or Masters degree / MBA Accounting & Controlling or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Accounting or related field will be an advantage.- 2+years experience as an Accounts Receivables Specialist or similar role- Experience with basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes- Proficiency in accounting software (preferred in SAP4Hana) and MS Excel- Demonstrate ability to partner with the different levels in the organisation and external stakeholders- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy- (Very) Good German (min.
