We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our regional EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) New Business Team in leading and winning regional pitches, with a focus on clients headquartered in Germany / DACH cluster.

EMEA is a large and complex region within the dentsu global business, spanning 50 countries and 7000 people delivering media services to thousands of local (country-specific), pan-region and global clients.

Working closely with local dentsu Media teams and the EMEA New Business Team, you will own the day-to-day client relationship and all elements of delivery, including creation and implementation of the strategic vision, delivery against financial targets and building a relationship with the client.

You are passionate about the impact that media can have on a client’s business and have an instinctive ability to build relationships and gain trusted advisor status through an understanding of client requirements. You attract and mobilise top drawer talent that both meets clients’ needs and gels as a successful agency team.

You already have a track record of success in developing and building client relationships at a regional/global level. You feel ready to take the next step into a more dynamic role with greater opportunity for personal learning and growth.

What you’ll be doing
- Delivering innovative and ambitious strategic and commercial solutions that balance client and agency values working closely with colleagues and clients
- Building strong relationships as a trusted advisor with senior client and industry stakeholders, positioning dentsu as a centre of excellence for marketing services
- Leading pitch teams, mobilising the best talent across the EMEA network, ensuring that every part of the team in every market delivers pitch-winning work, working closely with local market teams across EMEA and global teams where relevant

What you’ll bring
- An outstanding track record of managing senior client relationships independently
- Highly commercial - selling value, negotiation, client relationship management skills, being a trusted business advisor
- Exceptional ability to mobilise and motivate talent quickly, building teams to deliver winning work in short timeframes
- Experienced business development and client service leader, a skilled negotiator with a proven track record of increasing client portfolios and driving revenue
- Proven experience in identifying, pitching, negotiating, closing and renewing deals of all types
- An influencer, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the company and with the ability to flex communication style and approach depending on the audience and outcomes required
- Excellent listener
- Ability to manage and coach matrix teams
- Team player, high levels of drive and ambition - you need to love the thrill of the chase and have a strong desire to win every project
- Thinking and doing - the ability to come up with big ideas and to be happy completing detailed commercial submissions
- You thrive under pressure and excel in meeting short deadlines
- Diplomatic, able to develop strong relationships with key network stakeholders at all levels within the business and externally
- European languages desirable, but not essential
