**Legal Expert Marine Insurance**:
**Your tasks**:

- Reviewing and analyzing international terms and conditions, endorsements, and clauses in the Marine insurance
- Preparation of globally standardized insurance terms and conditions, benchmarks, and individual endorsements for HDI
- Answering questions from the underwriting community and translating underwriting intentions into proven policy wordings
- Developing and delivering training on insurance terms and conditions
- Review of (contractual) liabilities and general terms and conditions of freight forwarders and warehouse operators
- Liaising internally with the legal, claims, compliance, and reinsurance departments
- Monitoring market developments and current case law
- Participation and / or lead of projects to improve processes and tools, e.g., expansion of HDI’s internal AI-based wording tool

**Your profile**:

- Extensive, international experience in drafting contract-specific insurance policies and endorsements
- Proven in-depth knowledge of Marine Insurance wordings with a clear understanding of the challenges associated with Cargo, Cargo Liability and Warehouse Legal Liability risks, such as market uncertainty and potential litigation due to unclear wordings
- Experience in Freight Forwarders / Carriers Liability Insurance
- Legal background is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Business fluent in English, German desirable
