- This position is a hybrid role based in Munich, Berlin or London (fluency in German is essential)
- We’re looking for an innovative and original thinker to join the Commercial Legal team and embrace its ethos of “doing less, better”. A business-minded lawyer with an excellent understanding of technology contracts and experience in managing and negotiating a high volume of commercial transactions.
Be our expert in providing commercial legal support to our colleagues to only protect the company, but also actively drive its growth.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- In your role as a strategic business partner, you will ensure that our processes remain fast and legally compliant as we continue to grow.
- You will be responsible for various legal-related matters involved in selling our software, with a focus on supporting the Revenue & Success and Customer Experience teams;
You will work across departments to minimise risks, optimise processes and coordinate the development of procedures and guidelines to align with legal requirements and industry best practices;
You will support and work on commercial legal team projects and initiatives to improve legal process efficiency; including training, CLM tool management and integrating AI in accordance with the company strategy in your day to day work.
**Role Requirements**:
**A fully qualified German lawyer** (with both state exams or a bachelor and masters degree in law);
**Fluent written and spoken German and English skills**; further European languages are a plus.
At a guide, this role would suit a commercial lawyer between 4 - 7 years post qualification legal experience in a technology company with **experience supporting a high volume sales organisation**;
A flexible self-starter and **proactive problem solver** who can **work autonomously** and handle significant customer contact;
**Effective written and oral communication skills are essential**. Ability to clearly present information, respond to questions from customers and internal stakeholders, with focus on pragmatic solutions;
Able to manage conflicting demands from multiple stakeholders in a** fast-paced environment**;
**Strong negotiator** with proven track record in supporting a sales organisation and in negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements, including DPA, SaaS subscription and RFPs (bonus points for EVB-IT);
**Energised by the role AI** is playing in legal work and are ready to embrace AI tools and workflows to help you work smarter, faster, and more impactfully.
