**About this opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel who brings exceptional proven capabilities in German labor and employment law and a strong background in handling complex cases and projects requiring in-depth analysis and professional know-how.
You will be the first point of contact for and trusted advisor of our German People Team on all legal and employment law matters including but not limited to litigation, restructuring, mergers integration, employee data protection, co-determination, service agreements, contract law, employment protection and international employment.

**These interesting tasks and activities await you**:

- Collaborate with our People Team Germany to develop and implement regulations, policies, procedures, and processes related to labor and employment law including works council agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with German labor and employment law and regulations.
- Provide in-depth labor and employment law expertise and advise to stakeholders like our People Team Germany and ensure to proactively mitigate risks.
- Advise our People Team Germany on formal processes and best practices to work effectively with our works councils.
- Develop and implement as well as regularly review and update standards for employment contracts, contract templates, standard clauses as well as other employment law regulations and processes.
- Prepare for, drive, monitor, document and follow up on individual employment law and collective law disputes including the determination of optimal process and tactics (such as litigation, arbitration, or settlement) and the representation of the employer.
- Engage external legal service providers as required, manage scope and costs, and ensure best in class legal advice is provided with a focus on value for money.
- Proactively identify and drive labor and employment law related (strategic) projects as well as improvement and automation initiatives and ensure success.
- Continuously monitor relevant legal developments, analyze their effects, and proactively derive recommendations to share them with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare target group specific presentations, reports, and decision documents on individual and collective legal issues.

**You bring the following knowledge and experience**:

- Second State Exam in Law (Zweites juristisches Staatsexamen), Germany
- Several years of experience as lawyer with focus on German labor and employment law in a matrix organization, ideally within the information and communications technology or telecommunications sector
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in working with work councils on all levels
- Proven track record in labor and employment law disputes and negotiations including but not exclusively works council agreements, balance of interests, and social plans in a matrix environment
- Proficiency in German and English
- Familiarity with Dutch and Swiss labor law is advantageous
- Knowledge in Corporate Law is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently in a multinational and complex environment
- Highly solution-oriented approach to work combined with the ability to prioritize and persistence
- Excellent negotiating, communication, and consulting skills
- Demonstrated integrity, cultural awareness, and open mindedness
- Ability to establish strong and trusting relationships with stakeholders
