The Chief of Staff will provide managerial leadership within the Executives’ team of Jacobs University in Bremen, focusing on the development and delivery of project activities and operational management of the new established Presidential Office at Jacobs University.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Be President’s right hand and help with optimizing his time and making him more efficient
- Lead the Presidential Office team
- To develop operational plans for Presidential Office in liaison with colleagues and staff that set targets and priorities
- Act as President representative for selected meetings or projects
- To actively ensure the effective performance management of staff and to identify relevant development and training for staff
- To undertake any additional or alternative duties commensurate with the role
**Your qualifications**:
- Higher Degree, PhD as a plus
- Experience of managing and leading teams (in Business and Higher Education sector)
- Administrative and organizational skills
- Committed to resolving problems and tackling difficult issues
- Fluent in German & English, Russian knowledge is a plus
