External Freelance Lecturer

**Your Responsibilities**:
We are looking for a new colleague to join our Business Faculty Team starting this summer semester 2025, who shares our vision of excellence in education and who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students.

The teaching load comprises two modules, which should be held over two semesters via online. Each module has a workload of 6 SWS (4,5 hours per week) over 16 weeks. Teaching language is English.

**The opportunity**:
To become a freelance lecturer at a university of applied sciences sharing your knowledge and passion with students from all over the world.

**The teaching content is about**:
**Module 1**:Advanced Corporate Reporting
- Capital Budgeting: Capital budgeting techniques - net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), payback period (PBP) and discounted payback period
- Advanced Capital Budgeting: Types of real options and the valuation of real optıons
- Capital Structure: Capital structure theories, financing sources - debt and equity financing and the cost of capital calculation
- Investment decision making and analysing the firm’s liquidity: Cash flow estimate, Break-Even Analysis, capital rationing and assessment of the firm’s liquidity
- Risk Management: Types of risks and managing financial risk
- Basic concept of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Purpose of mergers and acquisi-tions, stages of M&A, takeover tactics, and the valuation of the target company

**Modul 2**: Performance Management and Control
- Organizational tensions to be managed and basics for successful strategy
- Organizing for performance and using information for performance measurement and control
- Building a Profit Plan
- Evaluating Strategic Profit Performance
- Designing Asset Allocation Systems and Linking Performance to Markets
- Building a Balanced Scorecard
- Using Diagnostic and Interactive Control Systems
- Achieving Profit Goals and Strategies by aligning performance goals and incentives
- Identifying and Managing Strategic Risks
- Levers of Control for implementing strategies

**Additional tasks**:

- Preparation and evaluation of certificates of achievement

**Your profile**:

- Relevant professional experience
- Graduation with a Master degree at least
- Completed relevant university studies
- Teaching experience at universities
