To strengthen / support our team in Klingenberg, we are looking for a Product Development Chemist to start as soon as possible.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Experimental development of scientific and economic problem solutions and active contribution of ideas.
- Development of new, sustainable clearcoats for the automotive industry
- Development of new generations of existing clearcoat systems
- Introduction of newly developed products to customers in cooperation with customer laboratory, customer service and sales department
- Development, testing and introduction of new raw materials in cooperation with our suppliers
- Participation in agile projects
- Application of modern optimisation methods for test planning and processes

**Profile**
- Completed scientific or technical studies as organic chemist (M/F), polymer chemist (M/F) or chemical engineer (M/F) with strong polymer competence or alternatively coatings laboratory technician (M/F) with advanced training as technician (M/F).
- Ideally first experience in the development of clear coats or binders
- Ideally experience/knowledge in the field of characterisation and analysis of coatings
- Knowledge of statistical test design
- Mental flexibility, problem-solving skills and a high level of self-motivation
- Strong ability to think systematically and work in a structured manner
- Very good communication and teamwork skills
- Good command of English
- Customer orientation, confident appearance with customers
