At the University of Bremen, Faculty of Production Engineering (FB04) in the Department of Mechanical Process Engineering (FG01), Prof. Dr.Ing. Lutz Mädler is seeking to fill the following scientific position:
**Research Assistant (PhD student) (f/m/d)**
**Salary level 13 TV-L**

**Temporary for 36 months (according to - 2 WissZeitVG) full-time (39,2 hours)**

**Starting date: at the earliest possible date**

Voraussetzungen

**Required qualifications**:

- Good knowledge of programming (Python).
- A strong background in numerical methods is an advantage, especially involving methods for the simulation of partial differential equations.
- A background in at least undergraduate level fluid dynamics is essential.
- A background in differential geometry is beneficial, but not required.
- Excellent academic record and ability to work in a team and independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with communication skills in German helpful.
