**Constructor University** (formerly Jacobs University) is a private, state-accredited, English-language research university in Bremen. In this context, four new academic positions, all Assistant Professorships (teaching and research) have been opened in Computer Science.

**Your responsibilities**:
In this position, you will support our research activities in the field of Computer Science, with specific focus on one of the following fields:

- Machine Learning
- Artificial Intelligence
- Cyber Security
- Visual Computing
- Software Engineering
- Programming Languages and Tools
- Automation (e.g., machine intelligence, industry 4.0, CPS, IIoT, and control)

All positions are also expected to support teaching in Computer Science; develop and implement innovative, pedagogically sound approaches to online, hybrid and in-person teaching and learning; advise students on their studies; and supervise Bachelor, Master’s and PhD theses and research projects.

**Your qualifications and experience**:

- PhD degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Strong publication record related to computer science in the relevant field of specialization
- Experience and success in teaching in the context of international and diverse environments
- Demonstrable interest in innovative teaching and learning approaches
- Experience in transferring research knowledge to solving problems in engineering and science
- Responsible, self-motivated person able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus
- Intercultural experience and competence
