Generative AI will become mainstream and be at the core of all product experiences. **How does Genova.ai operate?** Genova is a fundamentally new approach to how products are built. Genova is a studio with 4 product teams - each one building simple tools and software to enable millions of people to use the magic of Generative AI. The 4 product teams are agile, release every day and build small, scalable products that generate loads of value for a lot of people. If their product becomes profitable, the team will receive a percentage of those profits as bonuses. The product pods are supported by the studio layer, which includes supporting functions, a kick-ass growth and marketing team as well as some of the top AI researchers in Europe. Genova aims to always stay agile and fast - we aim to hire smart and experienced people, capping our headcount at 40 people in total. If a product requires more people, it will become a spin-off with its own team. **Who are we looking for?** We are looking for a results-driven COO with a strong background in operations management and finance for our product studio at Genova.ai to bring Generative AI to the world with many exciting products we can build with this exciting technology. Our future COO is extremely reliable, disciplined and numbers-driven. As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our organization (40 people max) while taking responsibility for supporting the venture leads of the products and defining the operating framework for the studio itself. You will work closely with Mathis Büchi-Ginzbourg, the founder of Genova.ai (previously Smallpdf and Taxfix) and with other key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to achieve the goals of the studio. **What you will do** - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the company, ensuring all teams are working together efficiently. - Identify and address operational challenges, risks, and opportunities to drive the success of the studio and its ventures - Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to track each product’s progress towards goals. - Handle legal, compliance, and administrative topics in the studio. Manage a team of outside part-time staff, including the Finance Lead, Recruiting Lead, and Legal counsels. - Take ownership of the studio's P&L and support venture leads with their own P&L ownership. - Conduct financial data analysis and reporting for the company, management and shareholders **Your profile** - You have at least 3 years of experience as a COO or MD in a tech startup (or something very similar to that in terms of responsibilities) - You have professional experience for full ownership of financial planning, monthly accounting, tax return filing, and financial management reporting. - You have experience with operating model implementation, ideally in a tech product organization. - You have experience in working closely with Data/Complex spreadsheets (SQL skills are a plus). - You are extremely reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented. - You are extremely numbers-driven and a great system-thinker. - You can be pushy and you can fight for your point of view, yet pragmatic in processes. - You have great communication skills. **Why Genova.ai?** - We build faster than anyone else.
