Quality Auditor Lead PMO

**Purpose**:Leads the day-to-day operations to provide direct support for the continued development, sustainment, update and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System.

**Positions Reporting to this Function**: Quality Auditors

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for leading and supervising the Quality Auditors by maintaining order and discipline of the day-to-day operations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to assigned personnel on current principles, practices, and procedures to be employed to effectively support the Amentum Quality Management System.
- Ensures applicability of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by keeping informed of the latest updates/modifications to the contract.
- Supports departments/sections as they achieve and sustain ISO 9001 standards through auditing processes and departments.
- A quality “champion” by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency.
- Assists the Quality Manager to develop a surveillance program that produces effective feedback to the various work sites within this contract.
- Responsible for ensuring quality assurance checks are conducted, including but not limited to supply and property processes (MOS 92A/92Y), materiel maintenance processes (MOS 91 series) and logistics and transportation processes (MOS 88M).
- Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and supports the APS-2 Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Instills a Safety-First mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and mínimal lost-time injuries.
- Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the Amentum Quality Management System.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED BASELINE EDUCATION**:
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.

**Desired Qualification & Experience Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent. College degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in either maintenance, logistics, supply or property
- Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience, i.e. two years of experience is equivalent to two years of college and vice versa.

**Specialized knowledge and skills**:

- Knowledge of Quality Management System and initiatives required.
- Must have excellent and effective presentation skills.
- Must be able to influence without direct authority by building effective partnerships throughout the organization.
- Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and good working relationships.
- Must possess basic statistical skills.
- Must have good working knowledge of process management.
- Must have high-level organizational and planning skills.
- Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
- Must have a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to speak the English language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports and technical manuals in the individual’s special field.
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.

**Preferred Knowledge**
- ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training Course Certificate is preferred.
- Familiarity with GCSS-Army.

**Additional Requirements**:
1) LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

- Clearance required: NACI/Tier 1 for US Citizens
- Valid Driver’s License

2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves-51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing
- general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.
- Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required), exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

3) WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Works alone, with and around others, verbal/face-to-face contact, inside/outside, extended days, confined areas, extreme heat/cold, temperature changes, wet and/or humid, noise, mechanical and electrical equipment, high places, fumes/odors and dirt/dust.
- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
