Quality Control Specialist

Purpose: Assists with evaluating processes to identify non-compliances, non-conformances, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvements within the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.- Verify established processes meet quality standards by surveilling them, identifying possible process noncompliance’s or opportunities for improvements.- Assists with process development by providing feedback on design and building features relational to requirements.- Recommend changes in methods to improve process.- Provides assistance to functional areas as they achieve and sustain ISO 9001 standards.- Is a quality “champion” by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency.- Assist with the development and implementation of standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation in conjunction with our customer’s guidance.- Interfaces with contractors Management team to resolve quality-related problems.- Assists with verifying the contractual and corporate compliance of work performed as it relates to quality.- Other duties that may be assigned to meet company goals and objectives.

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.High School graduate or equivalent- Associates degree in a related field is highly desirable but not required.- Must possess the ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.- Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.

Specialized knowledge and skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and other software programs to assist with special projects.- Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) is desirable- Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) is desirable- ISO 9001 Auditor Training Course Certificate is desirable

2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.- Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)

3) WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
