Limiting global warming to 1.5°C implies reaching net zero CO2 emissions in 2050 according to the IPCC. Next to substantially reducing emissions, this target will only be possible by globally deploying carbon removal (CDR) solutions at the scale of billions of tons of CO2.

Neustark is a leading provider in this rapidly growing field, having developed a solution to permanently store CO2 from the air in recycled mineral waste such as demolished concrete. Founded in 2019 in Switzerland, our first solutions have been deployed in Switzerland and Europe and are already capturing and storing tons of CO2 every week. We are currently scaling up our operations and carbon removal impact globally - on the road to removing one million tons of CO2 in 2030, and beyond that.

We’re a team of 50 people based mainly in Switzerland, working internationally, and with international offices very soon. Together, we enable permanent CO2 storage for a bright future of all generations on our planet.

**What your future team does**:
The finance team is neustark’s numbers hub at neustark. We oversee activities ranging from A like accounting to Z (well, almost ) like treasury - and various areas in between such as controlling, financial planning, and financial operations. By ensuring financial discipline, providing data for decision-making, and ensuring regulatory compliance, we play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. We’re data-driven tool and structure enthusiastsbut equally a fun-driven, multi-faceted bunch who puts the team first.

**What your job could look like**:

- As the head of neustark's finance department, you lead a dedicated team, laying the groundwork for our future success.
- Your financial expertise and strategic mindset are vital to achieving our ambitious megaton ambition for 2030. You act as a trusted partner to senior management, providing valuable insights to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Steering financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes is in your capable hands. Your timely analyses guide decision-makers toward the best path for neustark's future.
- With your financial modeling and scenario planning skills, you help shape and optimize resource allocation, investment decisions, and cash flow management. This includes negotiating with lenders and investors to secure necessary funding.
- You evaluate and manage risks, establish strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulations. Your expertise in capital utilization is invaluable across our group and its quickly growing geographic reach.
- You oversee our consolidated financial statements and audits, promoting transparency and accountability in all aspects of our work.

**What we’re looking for**:

- A degree in business administration, finance, accounting or similar fields.
- Proven track record leading the finance department in a scale-up environment for multiple years.
- Significant experience in M&A or investment banking as well as effectively managing investor expectations.
- Expertise in infrastructure project finance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for speed and efficiency as well as excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in German as a plus.
