**What we do in Legal in AVIV**

Legal is a pivotal function at AVIV Group. We are a team of currently ca. 15 lawyers spread over Germany, France, Belgium, and Israel. We provide high quality legal advice to the various divisions and business lines of the AVIV Group in all legal fields typically associated with a digital company, in particular contract law (drafting and negotiations), corporate, data protection, competition, and dispute resolution. We work with the businesses very closely on our journey to become the “To-Go-to”-platform in real estate in Europe.

**Job Description**:
**What we are looking for**
- Be responsible for AVIV’s data protection matters throughout the entire group
- Ensure compliance of the business models with the applicable data protection laws
- Form a first-class uniform data compliance organization for the entire AVIV Group with a view to our journey to become the leading real-estate marketplace in Europe
- Work closely with the data protection colleagues and privacy managers throughout the Group
- Educate and train management and teams on data compliance
- Act as the first point of contact and central coordination point for all data protection matters for the AVIV leadership team
- Monitor political initiatives and legal changes in the data protection field
- Negotiate data protection aspects of agreements with customers and suppliers
- Selection, coordination and control of external advisors as well as management of data protection disputes
- Report directly to AVIV Group´s General Counsel

**Qualifications**:
**Who we are looking for**
- You are a German qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in a data protection function
- You have great entrepreneurial spirit and understand business needs whilst ensuring legal necessities are adequately reflected at the same time
- You feel confident in a cross-cultural matrix organisation and have experience of working globally, with a proven track record in complex commercial negotiations & litigation
- You have excellent problem-solving capabilities, strategic thinking and interpersonal skills
- Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, and you are business fluent in English and German, French is a plus
