Head of Electronic Procurement

The head of electronic procurement (M/F/d) is in charge of developing and executing the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, solve the needs of the business, manage key suppliers & drive dynamically the optimization of the supplier base. He/She will lead a team of commodity managers & technical buyers and will report to the Procurement Director.
This position facilitates the interactions between the design centers, cross-functional stakeholders, and procurement to maintain and develop a panel of Best-in-Class suppliers meeting current business requirements, future growth needs, technological evolutions, supply chain optimization, and achieve annual cost savings targets.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for Electronic (EMS) and other commodities under your scope with a focus to optimize the supplier base and compliance with sustainability requirements.
- Perform needs analysis for different HBK entities in all geographic zones and segment the commodity needs.
- Be responsible for the commercial relationship for key suppliers and lead global/local negotiations with them.
- Define and establish standard agreements with suppliers. Provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.
- Assess supplier risks (Financial, quality, dependency, supply ) and mitigate them.
- Support new product development, early supplier involvement and supplier selection with technology development and Make or Buy strategies.
- Pursue systematic TCO analysis and value enhancements to drive cost savings and performance improvement.
- Perform in the geographic zone market analysis / intelligence and identification of market trends that could affect the pricing and supply
- Track the monthly Performance for the suppliers of your scope (Quality, Service, Productivity, Risk).
- Handle most critical crisis with Strategic suppliers.
- Develop your team skills & competencies
Professional qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business
- +5/7 years’ experience as a manager
- Strong knowledge on PCBA, electronics components & EMS management within industrial/automotive companies
- Experience with SAP or Oracle
Personal skills
- Fluent in English - German or Danish is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills and collaboration within a multicultural and cross functional mode, strong operational and strategical skills
- Good argumentation skills and ability to influence internally and externally
