Our client is one of the largest global financial institution in the world which offers a wide range of banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, and institutions.

Leveraged Finance is a global business line and the bank offers services to financial sponsors across the globe.

The Leveraged Finance team in Frankfurt is looking for an experienced individual on Vice President level to actively cover financial sponsors in Germany and Austria and to act as a deal captain in transactions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Actively and consistently engage in the regional M&A market, actively supporting the team in identifying suitable debt financing opportunities for various transactions, including LBOs, recapitalizations, refinancings, add-on financings, and more.
- Take a leading role or provide support in presenting proposals, engaging in discussions, and conducting negotiations with sponsors, advisors, clients, and potential clients.
- Conduct comprehensive and thorough analysis of target companies, including extensive examination of their commercial, financial, and operational aspects. This includes assessing market trends, competition, and potential business plans by gathering information from various reliable data sources.
- Develop intricate financial models, incorporating sensitivity analysis, by leveraging insights gathered from management meetings, conversations with financial sponsors, and thorough sector research.
- Collaborate closely within a team to strategically design and implement strong credit facilities for proposed transactions. This entails identifying and mitigating significant risks to ensure the bank's security and protection, while simultaneously meeting the specific requirements of the client.
- Effectively oversee and guide deal teams, drawing on substantial experience in managing intricate transaction processes.
- Establish clear expectations, communicate best practices, and provide guidance in managing, monitoring, coaching, and fostering the professional growth of junior team members and others. This is done to ensure they achieve optimal performance, meet the necessary standards, and continually enhance their skills and expertise.
- Support the syndication process by creating marketing materials, such as syndication models and lender presentations, to facilitate effective communication and engagement with potential syndicate member
- Conduct regular reviews and diligent monitoring of the continuous financial performance of portfolio assets.
- Collaborate closely with global leveraged finance teams and other relevant business teams (e.g., M&A, sector) to ensure proper resource allocation and timely achievement of deadlines and key milestones for transactions.
- Significant professional experience in corporate acquisition finance, M&A or sponsored leveraged finance.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, with a proven ability to analyze and summarize extensive volumes of business and transactional information under significant time pressure. Adapts communication style and approach to effectively address different audiences and deliver the intended message.

- Possesses strong credit, financial, and non-financial analytical skills, including a deep understanding of company accounts (including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flows). Proficient in utilizing various credit analysis techniques, preparing credit reports, and conducting cash flow modeling.
- Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of risk management and a track record of ensuring personal and team compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
- Extensive expertise in leading, shaping, and negotiating complex lending solutions
