**Tasks**:
Do you want to know how competition develops in markets and how regulators and competition authorities can steer market activities to improve welfare in society? Are you interested in analyzing the impact of mega-mergers and understanding whether the European Commission was right to clear them? Do you want to analyze microdata to measure the impact of digitalization on firms’ investment decisions and productivity? Then you've come to the right place

Requirements:

- completed master degree in economics, statistics, or data science
- Solid knowledge in (micro-) econometrics and industrial economics
- Experience with data and statistical software
- Very good English knowledge

This position is intended to enable students with a completed master degree who consider to pursue a doctorate to gain deeper insights into the working of research projects. The research experience gained in this way should help the personal decision for or against entering a doctoral program and creates valuable prerequisites for successful doctoral studies.

The remuneration is according to EG 13 TVöD Bund. The position is limited for one year.
