The impact you will make
We are looking to hire either an Intern or a Working Student for at least four months.

As an R & D chemistry laboratory intern/student, you will be a crucial part of the fusion targets (fuel) development. Together with nanotechnologists and surface scientists, you will perform chemical formulations and characterization to develop fusible targets. You will work side by side with in-house and external collaborators and experts in the field to advance the fusible target´s research and development. Additionally, you will conduct experiments in partner facilities to validate the target´s fabrication protocol and optimize its specifications.

**More specifically, you will**:
Support in the synthesis and deposition of fusible materials

Perform chemical characterization of synthesized materials

Development and optimization of protocols and methodologies for our chemical laboratory

What you bring

An undergrad degree in science or engineering, e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related

Hands-on experience in a chemistry laboratory, e.g., wet lab techniques and/or Schlenk line

Knowledge of deposition techniques such as spin-, dip
- and spray-coating or similar

Expertise in chemical characterization (e.g., IR, Raman, etc.) and/or materials characterization (e.g., SEM, TGA, XPS, EDX, etc.) methods

Experience in main group chemistry, specifically boron, is a plus

Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English to effectively ensure interaction with all members of Marvel Fusion
