Concrete Lab Technician

**Your mission**:
We are looking for a diligent, hands-on Concrete Lab Technician to support our product development and quality assurance activities. This role is central to ensuring the reliable execution of standardized mortar and concrete testing, maintaining high data integrity, and keeping our lab running smoothly, safely, and professionally.

You will work closely with our experienced Tech team to execute material tests with precision, follow relevant EN/DIN/ISO standards, and ensure that all data is accurately recorded, consistently structured, and clearly presented. Beyond testing, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our concrete and materials lab, including material inventory management, HSE compliance, equipment monitoring, and data organization for cross-team access.

**Key responsibilities**:
Testing and Execution
- Conduct material characterization and concrete/mortar tests in accordance with EN, DIN, and ISO standards
- Translate test plans into clear SOPs with full traceability; prepare, cast, cure, and handle specimens consistently

Data Quality & Presentation
- Diligently record test parameters (e.g. compressive strength, temperature, humidity) and label samples and specimens
- Provide early feedback on unexpected data trends or results, test reliability or measurement issues
- Organize datasets and prepare concise summaries, tables, and visuals

Lab Operations
- Perform equipment “fit for purpose” checks and coordinate recalibration and servicing schedules
- Maintain accurate inventory of lab equipment, test materials, consumables, and PPE
- Uphold best practices for workplace cleanliness and lab safety including all HSE protocols

Support to Product Development
- Work alongside the R&D team to improve material recipes and validate new products
- Contribute to internal reviews and technical perspectives in team discussions
- Support presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders when needed

Growth & Impact
- Develop skills to act as technical lead for new test methods and products in the future
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of lab workflows and processes

**Your profile**:

- You are fluent in English (C1 or higher) German is a big plus
- You have the right to full-time unrestricted work within Germany
- You live in or close to Berlin/Brandenburg within commutable distance to Bernau or are willing to relocate
- 1 year of hands-on lab experience in concrete, mortar, construction material testing or within a relevant laboratory testing environment
- Completed a technical training in laboratory operations or hold a bachelor or master’s that involved laboratory work e.g. Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
- You have an unwavering ownership mentality and are proactive, resourceful, and structured in pushing progress in your areas of responsibility
- You have a sharp eye for identifying critical information, can communicate it clearly, and understand how to contextualize its implications for the team or project
- You are comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment with an evolving project scope
- You are passionate about a positive climate impact and cannot wait to contribut
