**As Head of KVG Risk Management Germany (M/F/d) you will be a key role for our Risk Management Team in Augsburg, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg.**

**Your responsibilities**

Leadership & Cooperation
- Excellent interpersonal & intercultural skills to inspire and motivate teams into consistent high performance
- Disciplinary and functional management of the German risk management team
- Close cooperation with the international Risk Management teams as well as Compliance & Internal Audit colleagues, appropriate 1st line and 3rd line partners to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controls
- Internal and external stakeholder management

Risk Management
- Develop and implement the organization's risk management program for the German “Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaften” (“KVG’s”) of PATRIZIA while fulfilling the mission and strategic goals, and complying with AIFMD, KAGB, MiFID and other relevant regulations (BaFin, BuBa), as well as other accreditation standards
- Identify potential risks and create strategies to minimize impact on the organization's operations
- Monitor and analyse risks within the relevant business units and report to the Board of Directors of the German KVG’s, Group Head of Risk and senior management
- Develop risk management controls and contingency plans to address identified risks and ensure the establishment of effective mitigation processes. Support the business' implementation of effective controls
- Communicate risk policies and processes to all stakeholders. Provide training, as necessary and drive the development and implementation of consistent best in class risk management policies and tools
- Develop and implement risk management solutions
- Oversee and monitor all operational risk management activities of the KVG’s
- Liaise with auditors to carry out audits of the risk management processes

Team
- Direct, motivate and develop professional staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team
- Ensure the team is equipped to operationalize and attain multi-regional / risk coverage objectives. Assist with the identification and development of talent to ensure appropriate succession planning

**What we look for**
- Professional certification such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or related designation is desirable
- Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, including experience in creating and implementing risk management policies and procedures
- A strong background in the area of real assets, ideally in the regulated financial services industry with expert knowledge of risk management practices and intimate understanding of relevant regulations (BaFin, BuBa) is considered as an asset
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking / problem solving skills to predict and identify risks, develop strategies to combat them and execute those strategies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in the use of risk management software
