The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Law and Ecoomics, Department of Business and

Economics, has an immediate vacancy for a permanent full-time position as

Postdoctoral Researcher (m-f-d)

The salary will be up to Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, if the personal requirements and tasks are fulfilled.

**Tasks**:

- Independent conception, supervision, and implementation of new courses in the field of economics, with a

focus in particular on microeconomics for economics/business economics (teaching load according to LVVO

Land Sachsen-Anhalt)
- Supervision of seminar papers and theses (on the bachelor and master level)
- Organization, implementation and grading of exams and participating as a second examiner in other exami
- nations
- Independent work on interdisciplinary research and transfer projects as well as publication in the field of

applied and/or empirical microeconomics
- Acquisition of third-party funding for research projects
- Development and management of a research cluster at the Department of Business and Economics and pos
- sibly beyond
- Active participation in the academic self-administration of MLU’s Department of Business and Economics

Prerequisites:

- completed university degree in economics (Master’s, Diploma or equivalent)
- doctoral degree in the field of economics
- relevant teaching experience in the field of economics (in particular microeconomics, decision and game

theory), ideally at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level, in English and German, using research and transfer
- oriented teaching concepts
- excellent university level didactic skills, demonstrated in positive teaching evaluations and relevant further

training and certificates
- sound empirical methodological competence and research experience documented by relevant publica
- tions
- excellent organizational skills, experience in project management as well as flexibility and creativity in work
- ing independently on teaching and research projects
- extensive networking and active engagement within both the national and international research com
- munity
- very good language and communication skills in German and English (min. B2).
