Director (M/F/d) - External Manufacturing Strategy

What you will do
- Establish and maintain the global external manufacturing intelligence;
- Analyze cost and capacity of global foundry, IDM, OSAT and design houses; Direct the EM strategy development to achieve a company goal or competitive cost structure.
- Develop supply-chain intelligence and analyze industry trends (e.g. new technology, recruitment metrics, legislative changes) and use this insight to develop resourcing plans.
- Define, analyze and execute global sourcing or industrial strategies and investments
- Own high-level management relationship, be the contact point of cooperation and escalation
- Manage a team of strategic managers and analysts

Supply Chain Intelligence
- Have a strong understanding of the semiconductor value-chain and markets
- Identify opportunities for value add and scope expansion sourcing, to support new business.
- Work with sourcing managers to optimize the cost, quality, delivery, service and technologies and provide the forecast.
- Take full ownership and accountability for the sourcing value proposition and bring the products with the product groups.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders

Identify Business or Investment Opportunities
- Engage with external sourcing actors, such as suppliers, associations, research institutes etc. and identify the business cooperation or investment opportunities and ensure supply chain security.
- Visit existing supplier regularly and irregularly execute potential supplier visit

What you will need
- Master’s degree in engineering or business management
- Minimum 15 years of strategy experience
- Excellent knowledge of the semiconductor supply chain
- Experience in managing and/or leading international projects
- Demonstrable ability to build a position as a trusted advisor
- Experience in high-level relationship management with vendors and customers
- Excellent communication skills on the global level
- Ability to manage team and supplier cross-regional or remote
- Strong analytical skills
