We are seeking a Senior Quantitative Specialist for the section Modeling of Financial Solutions Life. Varied and challenging tasks await
Financial Solutions Life focuses on reinsurance of savings and retirements products, which transfer actuarial risks and financial guarantees to the reinsurer. Managing the book in force involves hedging the market risks by entering into financial derivatives, and taking on responsibilities such as daily operation of valuation models, monitoring of risk, and profit & loss. Section Modeling implements the reinsurance transactions in the division’s Front Office system. For this purpose, the team designs and maintains a library of advanced actuarial and financial mathematical models. The book’s valuation is administered throughout the contract lifecycle, large amounts of policy data are managed, and actuarial incidence rates are analyzed. The section is also the calculation agent for settlements and collateral valuation.

**Your Job**
- Development of valuation models for savings & retirement reinsurance transactions and financial derivatives, with a focus on coding and testing of the business logic
- Management of on-boarding projects, including cooperation in the design of reinsurance transactions and responsibility for their implementation on the Front Office platform
- Administration of reinsurance business on the Financial Solutions book throughout its lifecycle, in particular, valuation of settlement amounts & recapture values
- Collaboration in an interdisciplinary environment with the structuring, trading, and reporting teams

**Your Profile**
- Excellent university degree in (insurance/financial) mathematics, physics, or computer science
- At least 3 years of experience in insurance or finance with proven track record in project management
- Experience in the implementation of financial products on front office systems, including knowledge of the requirements by traders and business management
- Proficiency with financial derivatives and their mathematical valuation models, good understanding of IT architecture for large proprietary valuation libraries
- Willingness to develop skills in life insurance and actuarial models
- Proven track record in Java/C# programming, good understanding of agile development processes, code versioning and build tools
- Hands-on mindset and commitment to delivering excellence
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Fluent in business German and English
