Head of Business Unit - Electrical and Building Technology

With approximately 620 employees at 19 locations across Germany, our Electrical and Building Technology business unit ensures that complex technical systems in buildings operate safely and reliably. To ensure that our business unit continues to deliver TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) services that create value and build trust, we are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to take over as Head of Business Unit as part of a planned succession. In this key leadership role, you will report directly to the Executive Management, be part of the extended executive board, and hold responsibility for an annual revenue volume of approximately €95 million.

**Your Tasks**:

- Full responsibility for the Electrical and Building Technology business unit, including P&L and quality accountability
- Management of quality and pricing strategies, product maintenance and development, as well as accreditation and notification processes
- Strategic development of the service portfolio and identification of new business opportunities
- Oversight of processes, quality assurance, and occupational health and safety
- Promotion of professional training and development, alongside active public relations efforts
- Close and constructive collaboration with other regions and business units within TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH
- Initiation and co-creation of innovation, digitalization, and process optimization projects

**Your Qualifications**:

- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Inspirational leadership personality with at least 10 years of experience in a senior management role with P&L responsibility
- Proven track record in the strategic development of complex product portfolios
- In-depth market and industry knowledge, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and national standards
- Excellent ability to analyze market trends and identify new customer and growth opportunities
- Experience in building efficient structures and processes to sustainably enhance business performance and profitability
- Business-fluent German (C2 level) and fluent English (minimum C1 level)
