Global Head of Tax

We are in search of a Global Head of Tax with extensive international experience in tax compliance, reporting, audits, global team management and a profound understanding of German tax law.

Tax Compliance
- Lead global tax compliance, planning, and strategy for ISS STOXX group.
- Monitor tax legislative developments.
- Ensure timely filing of local income tax, withholding tax, and VAT/Sales Tax returns.
- Oversee worldwide transfer pricing documentation.
- Lead VAT compliance.

Tax Reporting
- Take accountability for tax reporting performance and results.
- Review quarterly and annual tax provisions.
- Prepare tax-related notes for the Group.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and respond to external tax provision requests.
- Monitor Tax Risk analysis for the Group.
- Lead tax planning initiatives.

Tax Audits
- Advise management on changes to tax regulations and potential impacts.
- Lead key projects, including Pillar 2 and tax acquisition integration.
- Manage tax audits, liaise with local tax auditors, and supervise responses.
- Provide tax analysis for business transaction projects.
- Lead Transfer Pricing projects.

Team Management
- Manage a global tax team of approximately 8-10 people across Europe, the US, and APAC.
- Coordinate work with external tax advisors, decide on insourcing and outsourcing.
- Integrate ISS and STOXX tax functions post-merger into one global team.

Ideal Experience
- Minimum 15 years of tax reporting and compliance experience (Big 4 preferred).
- Global experience in tax compliance with deep knowledge of German tax law.
- Strong financial, tax, and accounting skills.
- Comprehensive Transfer Pricing knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- System skills with the ability to extract data from S4/Hana a plus.
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- German Tax advisor exam.
