The Mission Critical Networks organization has the goal of driving globally this fast-growing business across Ericsson. This unit focus on the main verticals in mission critical: public safety, government, utilities and rail.

The role requires experience in providing mobile communication solutions/services to one or more of the aforementioned market segments as well as demonstrating a thorough understanding of Ericsson’s current networking products and services.

**Our Exciting Opportunity**:
We are now looking for a **Global** **Head of Sales for Rail**, reporting to the Head of Mission Critical Networks,** to support the local sales organizations with business development and domain specific sales activities securing that Ericsson is perceived as a preferred partner.
- Work on strategic level identifying leads and opportunities as well as taking the role of opportunity responsible in a specific engagement
- Role includes work on different levels in pre-sales, design, and delivery of customer projects
- Position Ericsson as a thought and technology leader
- Secure that customer feedback is shared with R&D organization
- You’ll be part of a best-in-class global team and your main focus will be the European market interacting with closely with customers and Business Areas

**In this Role **y**ou will**:

- Be responsible of accelerate sales in rail using your market and customers knowledge.
- Own the global sales strategy for rail, with initial focus on Europe
- Provide inputs for portfolio/offering development and innovation, to boost leadership and advantages
- Contribute defining pricing policies/benchmarking acc to market requirements and dynamics
- Drive/coordinate engagement and approach towards customer according to defined strategy
- Position Ericsson as technology leader in communications for rail, communicate and discuss Ericsson’s technology strategy and vision with C-level
- Provide sales support expertise, conduct in-depth technical discussions with customer
- Provide sales support for specific deals, propose solutions covering business requirements and present to Regions and Customer
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, ensure the customer vision & strategy including implications on Ericsson’s technology and solutions is communicated to relevant Business Units, Group Function and Ericsson Research.

**To be successful in th**is** role, you must have**:

- Education: Engineer, Bachelor of Business Administration, Science or similar
- Substantial in-field experience from sales/solutions of GSM-R solutions
- Domain experience: end to end technical competence and ability to understand the full FRMCS solution in Europe
- Thorough knowledge of assigned area in FRMCS and GSM-R
- Experience working with railway customers and preferably direct experience with Mobile Network Operator organizations
- Business Understanding
- At least 5 years’ experience in GSM-R sales
