Community Information Specialist

**Responsibilities**
**Customer Service**:
- Greet and assist walk-in and telephone customers in determining their service needs.
- Provide accurate guidance/dissemination of information on ACS services and direct customers to appropriate ACS offices or installation agencies.
- Maintain a courteous, confidential, and professional demeanor at all times.
**Administrative Support**:
- Maintain and update the ACS calendar daily, including classroom reservations.
- Collect, log, and archive customer sign-in sheets; submit sheets monthly as directed.
- Accurately maintain the Client Tracking System (CTS) by logging customer contact details (e.g., name, rank, date of birth, unit, phone number) daily.
- Archive CTS and client records on a monthly basis in accordance with COR (Contracting Officer’s Representative) guidance.
- Assist in scheduling, sign-ups, and tracking participation for ACS classes and events.
**Program Support**:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and as-needed statistical and utilization reports for ACS management.
- Support logístical arrangements for ACS briefings, classes, and special events as needed.
**Communication & Coordination**:
- Coordinate with ACS program staff to keep community resource information current.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries and requests for information from the community or ACS team.
**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in a customer service, administrative support, or office operations environment.
- Experience with client tracking or database systems is a plus.
**Skills & Requirements**:
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking); German language skills a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking ability.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a culturally-diverse environment.
**Other Requirements**:
- Must be eligible to work in Germany and able to meet USAG installation access requirements (including background checks as outlined by Army in Europe Regulation 604-1).
- Willing to undertake and maintain mandatory training: Anti-Terrorism (AT) Level I, OPSEC, iWATCH, Cyber Awareness, and Threat Awareness/Reporting (certificates must be provided per contract requirements).
- Familiarity with military protocol, customs, and courtesies is desirable.
**Preferred**:
- Experience working with military families or within a military support organization.
- Knowledge of Army Community Service (ACS) programs and US Army Europe/Germany installation procedures.
