Position Summary

The ACS Front Desk and Lending Closet Services Personnel provide essential support to Army Community Service operations in Hohenfels. This role ensures smooth customer service delivery, manages the lending closet inventory, and supports ACS program activities in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). role is occasional, not fixed part-time, and intended only for backfill coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers at the ACS front desk.
  • Provide information and referrals to ACS programs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service requests.
  • Manage the Lending Closet inventory, including check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Lending Closet area.
  • Support ACS staff with administrative tasks and event coordination.
  • Maintain compliance with installation policies and PWS guidelines.

Results/Accountabilities

  • Timely and courteous customer service.
  • Accurate documentation and reporting of services provided.
  • Well-maintained and organized Lending Closet inventory.
  • Positive feedback from ACS staff and customers.
  • Compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Skilled comfort in navigating and utilizing standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, databases)

Relationships with Other Jobs

  • Reports to ACS Program Manager or designated supervisor.
  • Collaborates with ACS staff and volunteers.
  • Interfaces with installation personnel and community members.
  • Coordinates with logistics and maintenance teams for inventory support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service or administrative support preferred.
  • Familiarity with military community services is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 60 pounds.
  • Extended periods of standing or sitting.
  • Manual dexterity for handling inventory and office equipment.

Environmental Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office and storage environment.
  • May involve interaction with diverse populations.
  • Occasional exposure to varying temperatures in Lending Closet areas.
