**The Position**: Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Project Management for the role of Head of Global CAPEX Project Management. This role, based in Biberach or Ingelheim, involves managing large-scale CAPEX projects, providing Leadership, Strategic Planning, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, and driving continuous improvement to meet strategic objectives. **Tasks & responsibilities**: - As the Head of Global CAPEX Project Management, you will steer the Senior Project Managers working on large-scale CAPEX projects worldwide (> EUR 50M). Your guidance, coaching, and support will be instrumental in ensuring the team's success in delivering CAPEX projects. - Strategic leadership is a critical aspect of your role, as you will ensure seamless alignment of all activities, taking into account dependencies within the project schedule and budgeting and forecasting. - Preparation and assurance of staffing and utilization forecasts will fall under your purview, considering the available project information and the technical needs of the project. - Detailed project plans for each project will be crafted and implemented by you. This involves outlining the scope, objectives, budget, schedule, and resources allocation in line with available guidance and standards. - You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective execution of projects, ensuring they adhere to quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. - Ensuring the availability of a change management plan and necessary resources for each project will be one of your tasks, focusing on compliance and risk management. - As the primary point of contact for stakeholders involved in CAPEX projects, you will foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners to ensure alignment, communication, and successful project outcomes. **Requirements**: - Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) or Diploma degree in engineering (mechanical, process, chemical engineering or equivalent). A Project management certificate (e.g., PMI) is desirable - Long-standing professional experience in managing global large CAPEX Projects as well as long-term-standing professional experience Project Manager or Department Manager in global, strategic CAPEX projects in the life science and pharmaceutical industry - A proven track record of successful projects and established best practices - Excellent project management skills and expertise of large CAPEX projects - Strong leadership skills and the capability to motivate others - Excellent communication skills in German and English - Willingness to travel **Ready to contact us?**: Recruitment process: Step 2: Virtual meeting in the period from mid of June/end of June Step 3: On-site interviews beginning/ mid of July
