We are now looking for an IoT Technical Account Lead in Germany that has experience working with Embedded development partners. This is a key role that will lead the way to building a team in Germany. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic team player that is completely at ease talking to customers at a roadmap technical level and during business discussions. You will have the responsibility to build a team of FAE engineers located near the key industrial players in Europe. This is a brand-new role and would suit someone that has experience of Embedded IoT support that has the drive and determination to succeed building customer relationships and a highly capable FAE support team. **What will you gain from this position**: Qualcomm offers highly competitive salaries and a generous benefits package including healthcare, Bonus, RSU share scheme as well as ESPP share saving schemes. **Minimum Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. - 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques. To forge strong and trusted relationships with Embedded module vendors and other key Industrial partners to develop and launch exciting new Qualcomm SoC based products with next generation AI, Machine learning, computer vision and cellular communication technologies. **Technical Account** role**: - Build relationships with embedded partners and Industrial customers. - Understand key aspects of customers system requirements and designs. - To drive internal development teams on customers issues/features/designs. - To train customers and partners on Qualcomm’s platforms and features - Track technical progress towards key milestones for various customer designs and manage and prioritize FAE support to achieve those milestones. - Collaborate across multiple locations and travel extensively to directly support customers. **Skills/experience**: **Required**: - Fluent German oral and written communication. - Good English oral and written communication. - 5+ years of industrial experience supporting embedded/industrial IOT customers based on Tier1 chipsets. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly and must be a self-starter. **Preferred**: - Familiar with embedded system and real-time OS - exposure to one or more of Linux, Yocto, Ubuntu based systems - bring-up, device tree, peripheral customizations. - Understanding of computer system architecture (core, cache, memory models, bus architecture, etc.) - Experience in C/C++ programming, systems knowledge. - Experience with testing tools/scripts (python, shell script) development on Windows and Linux. - Hardware systems design experience **Education requirements**: - Masters, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - Must demonstrate excellent communication skills in German and English (both oral and written) Qualcomm expects its employees to abide by all applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to security and other requirements regarding protection of Company confidential information and other confidential and/or proprietary information, to the extent those requirements are permissible under applicable law.
