Purchasing Specialist

**Description**

Hitachi Europe GmbH is the international procurement office of Hitachi Ltd, Japan. Currently Hitachi Ltd is undergoing a huge transformation aiming to leverage scope and scale of its business groups. We are looking for an inspired talent to support and drive this transformation.

The position is located in Düsseldorf, Germany. The job holder is responsible for the entire procurement process from Source to contract and procure to pay with various suppliers in Europe on behalf of our Hitachi Business Units in Japan.

**Purchasing Specialist (M/F/d)**

**Value Chain Integration Group**

**The Role**:

- RFQs (Request For Quotations) to obtain the quotations from suppliers
- Evaluation of the quotations
- Contract negotiation with European supplier
- Order placement to suppliers.
- Backorder control of purchase orders and steady communication with the relevant vendors.
- Close communication with our business units in Japan
- Undertake and ensure all purchase administrative tasks ( SAP bookings, Purchase to Pay process )

**Desirable Technical Skills**:

- Commercial experience in dealing with external suppliers and internal stakeholder
- 2 - 4 years job experience in purchasing
- Capability to work process-oriented
- Import/Export knowledge
- Good English (verbal and written)
- Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP knowledge preferrable
