Operational Buyer

As an **Operational Buyer (M/F/d)** in the Operational Procurement & Material Planning department, you will support the entire purchasing process for our raw materials. From the first supplier contact to internal processing, you will be the first point of contact for Operational Procurement & Material Planning issues.

**You will be responsible for the following aspects**:
Part of your tasks is to check the requisition for plausibility and correctness as well as the resulting possible clarifications with the specialist departments or with the requisitioners. You will make decisions as to whether quotations are to be obtained or whether a catalogue goods order is possible.

Further key tasks are:

- Comparing the quotation data with the created enquiry as well as the order confirmation
- Comparing quotations and placing orders, taking into account the policies.
- Concluding sales contracts within the specified framework
- Follow-up of deadlines and dates of orders as well as management of deviations
- Purchasing processing for raw materials
- Selecting suppliers, if necessary in cooperation with strategic purchasing and the supervisor
- Clarification of delivery and payment terms
- Checking supplier invoices against contract and order documents
- Complaint processing
- Maintenance of non-ferrous metal quotation and metal premiums
- Creating and maintaining materials in systems

**To join a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience**:
You have completed a commercial apprenticeship with additional specialist training or a business degree and already have several years of professional experience in the field of procurement. Ideally, you also already have experience in operational exchange with the logistics and supply chain management departments.

Further important qualifications are:

- Analytical skills as well as a goal-, entrepreneurial-, strategic
- and problem-solving-oriented way of thinking
- Solution-oriented action
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 is an advantage
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong safety, cost and quality awareness
- Strong communication skills across all hierarchical levels
