Job Details

As a Business Development Director in our Industry Sales team reporting into the CCO for Germany, you play a vital role in generating new business opportunities. Your primary responsibility is to identify potential clients and build strong relationships with them. By leveraging your industry knowledge and market insights, you develop effective strategies to attract new customers and increase sales. Additionally, you collaborate with internal teams to tailor products or services to meet client needs and stay ahead of competitors. Ultimately, your efforts drive revenue growth and expand the company's presence within the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Finds and initiates new opportunities and converts them to wins with new clients or new buying points within existing clients.
- Is an expert in cold calls, discovery calls and pitching to new clients. Turns new opportunities into winning businesses.
- Takes an agnostic view of opportunities to sell on-strategy, connecting with client service experts and ensuring that we bring the right products for the right opportunity.
- Understands Kantar and the wider Insights offer. Takes ownership to build-out own learning plan to support the knowledge build.
- Develops and implements short & long-term strategies that align with the company's goals and market trends.
- Networking, building and maintaining relationships with key industry players and potential clients.

SALES APPROACH:

- Defines a clear Sector Sales Strategy and Target Account list.
- Continuously screens structural changes in the sector, new entrants etc. to keep lead pipeline filled.
- Generates efficient leads by building networks and enhancing visibility and credibility.
- Acts proactively on all fronts - opening new conversations with leads and prospects; developing Opportunities and Proposals relentlessly until the sale is closed (together with Domain support)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Experience in sales in the B2B sector
- Relevant experience in marketing, consulting and/or market research
- High level of customer orientation, proactivity, and initiative
- Excellent and engaging presentation skills
- Proven success in client acquisition
- Structured, KPI-driven approach
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms that can enhance business development efforts, such as CRM systems and marketing automation tools
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English
