As a Technical Product Owner for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to participate in development of industry-leading commercial software, known for its innovation and usability.
This role reports to the Lead of Data Platforms Engineering located in Germany. You would work closely with the Engineering Teams in Europe and India, Partners in Europe and Product Management in the US.
**What you will do**
- Take responsibility for creating and maintaining the product roadmap and backlog in close co-ordination with the Product Manager and Technical Architects on the product
- Ensure you build a good understanding of the technical vision and architecture of the product; build familiarity with the different technology frameworks, and tools used to build the product
- Understand how different technology layers and components interface and speak with each other, get a sense of dependencies and order in which different components/layers need to be built
- Work with the architects and product manager to create relevant epics, research spikes and eventually well-defined stories that can be understood and implemented by SCRUM teams in a time boxed iteration.
- Keep a continuous view on evolving and changing priorities through interactions with the team and business stakeholders, maintain the same on the backlog and provide the correct understanding to the teams
- Operate in an agile development environment, continuously grooming the backlog and making sure stories are defined (DOR) for the teams to pick up in upcoming iterations
- Continuously participate in validating that the developed software meets the defined requirements and aligns with the longterm vision and business strategy.
- As and when relevant - create, participate and provide demos of the developed software to stakeholders
- As and when relevant - contribute towards creating and maintaining the right kind of documentation on information distribution channels such as confluence.
**Leadership/Interpersonal**
- Works very closely with technical architects and product manager to define the backlog and continuously maintain it
- Works collaboratively with teams and with necessary leadership in all agile/SCRUM meetings and throughout the execution of the iterations.
- Operates with a mindset of openness, honesty, and transparency
- Ability to work with a certain amount of unknown and ambiguity and make sense in order to move forward
- Maintains a positive demeanor during periods of uncertainty, pressure, and conflict
**Minimal qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Relevant experience with **Software Development**:good understanding of one programming language such as Java,.NET, GoLang, Python
- Experience working as a product owner or senior analyst in an agile development environment with focus on industry 4.0 / digital transformation related programs
- ** Certified product Owner certificate from renowned institute/org**
- ** Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.**
- Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
