**About the opportunity**:
We are looking for a Head of Finance who will build up and lead our emerging finance department. You will be in the cockpit of a start-up being built from scratch, helping us to execute our revolutionary vision. This role is effectively targeted at finance and accounting high-potentials who are interested in setting up and scaling the finance ops/accounting function of a high-growth, venture-backed startup. **What you'll be doing**:

- Build up the function. Play a key role in setting up and leading the strategic and operational management of the Finance & Controlling department
- The big picture. Be responsible for business structuring, controlling, KPI development, cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, management reporting, and financial accounting
- Shape the path. Plan, assess, and evaluate Kadmos' financial performance with regards to both short-term and long-term growth targets and operational KPI's, budgets, and forecasts
- Refine the processes. Spur the implementation of new finance and accounting tools and initiatives aimed at bolstering the company's efficiency and scalability
- Build your own team. Lead the finance team, with responsibility for hiring, developing, and managing all finance employees
- Work with the founders. Work directly with our founders and all other senior management to develop and support their business analysis decisions and to ensure that strategic projects are successfully executed
- Coordinate efforts. Manage external stakeholders and be the main point of contact for banks, auditors, tax advisors, and accountants

**What you bring along**:

- 4+ years of professional experience in finance, preferably in high-performance environments like high-growth start-ups, investment banking, or strategy consulting
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (HGB; IFRS is helpful but not a must) and controlling processes; experience with DATEV and similar accounting tools is also required
- Profound knowledge and experience in financial modelling and forecasting
- Proactive personality along with a structured, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, paired with the ability to partner with management at all levels and to lead major projects and initiatives
- Proven experience in building teams and organizations in dynamic / high-growth environments
- Fluency in English and German
