**About the role**
As a Global Benefits & Retirement Senior Specialist - EMEA, you will be responsible for making recommendations to management regarding benefit and retirement program updates related to local legislative updates / requirements, claims processes, and supporting local and expatriate attorneys and staff.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the local Human Resources teams to support the benefit and retirement programs in the EMEA offices, and ensure that firm programs and resources are being appropriately communicated to build and sustain engagement.
- Acting as a point of contact for benefits and pension plan questions from attorneys, paralegals and staff in the EMEA offices.
- Leading global benefits and retirement projects for the firm as it relates to supporting attorneys and staff in the firm’s EMEA offices; and Leading new hire orientation and off-boarding for local and expatriate attorneys and staff.
- Ensuring compliance and proper documentation with regard to all applicable laws and regulations. Providing expertise related to the regulatory and legal requirements for employee benefit and retirement plans to employers and employees.
**About you**
Join our team if you have:
- Are fluent in German and English.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions of health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendors.
- Possess knowledge of benefit practices; and regulations and guidelines, including Leaves of Absence.
And have:
- Well developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm; and an ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and HRIS systems experience.
- Confidence and discipline to work independently and autonomously; and provide concise and specific recommendations to firm management.
- Advanced Spanish language skills are desirable, but not essential.
