**About the role**:
The main objective of the role is to improve Rugvista’s rankings in search engines to become the number 1 destination for rugs and home accessories in organic search. SEO is one of our key focus areas where you will be responsible for all marketing activities to increase organic traffic acquisition and drive customers to our site.

You will join our Marketing team where we are devoted to helping people in their search for the perfect rug, by focusing on the following main objectives: driving profitable traffic to our sites and building a known and liked brand.

The Marketing department is a full-service in-house agency, working with SEM, SEO, branding, content production, Social Media, Influencers, campaign management, and CRM where the Own Media team focuses on making it as easy as possible for users to find and buy what they are looking for and to build long-term relationships that engage, activate and support our customers. You will report to the Head of Own Media. The position will be located either at our headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, or in Berlin, Germany, where we are in the process of opening a small office.

**How you make an impact**

- Developing global and local SEO strategies including the implementation of on-page and off-page activities.
- Performing keyword and competitor research to identify local initiatives on keyword level.
- Optimising copy and landing pages with a solid internal linking strategy.
- Defining outreach strategies while securing a healthy link profile.
- Supporting our editorial calendar and content marketing ideas.
- Creating and optimising copy and landing pages on WordPress.
- Performing technical site audits and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Collaborating with developers to request necessary features.
- Acting as an ambassador of SEO knowledge in the organisation.
- Monitoring and reporting Rugvista’s and competitors’ performance when it comes to organic visibility, keyword rankings, and SEO activities.

**What you bring**
***:

- 3+ years of experience in a similar role or function preferably within the têxtile or home furnishing industry, at an agency or in-house.
- You are a results-oriented, ambitious individual with comprehensive experience working with on-page and off-page SEO initiatives using a combination of creative, analytical, and technical skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, algorithm updates, and changes in the SEO industry.
- Advanced Excel skills feeling very comfortable working with data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish or any other language a plus).
- Basic technical and programming knowledge.
- Ability to work in a team, as well as high drive when working alone.
- Energetic, impact-oriented attitude with a desire for personal development.
- You are familiar with Semrush, Screaming Frog, Testomato, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, WordPress, Google Looker Studio, and HTML.
