KAYAK is looking for an SEO & AI Specialist to sit at the crossroads of organic search, AI and product You will use AI tools to optimize SEO team workflows for improved output, speed and consistency. You will collaborate with different partners across the company to help develop and implement SEO and AI strategies to turn insights into tangible search growth at scale across several domains in both traditional and large-language-model LLM organic search engine results (e.g. ChatGPT, Perplexity).
This role will track industry trends and performance to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency within the team. By pairing classic SEO craftsmanship with modern AI tooling and proprietary experimentation platforms we will uncover, test and scale new projects that move the needle for travelers and for the business.
**In this role, you will**:
- Play an active role in the planning and execution of the SEO product roadmap which covers 36 domains (in 33 countries) with up to 8 travel verticals each.
- Develop and operationalize generative workflows to accelerate SEO tasks such as keyword research, specification and documentation creation, general reporting, meta-data generation, and content gap analysis.
- Coordinate your efforts in the team and with collaborators within the global organization (e.g. Marketing, Engineering, Product).
- Work closely with our dedicated SEO engineering team to optimize and improve our SEO product landing pages and drive product development to make real business impact.
- Plan, launch and refine page templates, internal-linking structures and scalable content systems informed by algorithmic and user-behaviour signals.
- Own and be accountable for your projects; set clear briefs and requirements and ensure the tracking, monitoring and reporting of results is transparent and shared with the wider team.
- Use proprietary and third-party tools to assess opportunities, quantify performance and analyze competitors, suggesting tactical changes as a result of your observations.
- Find opportunities to continually test and iterate on landing page templates, modules and content to improve both user experience (e.g. conversion, bounce rate) and performance in traditional search results and LLM search results (e.g. CTR, share of voice)
- Stay ahead of the curve about AI in SEO. Keep track of new search-ranking developments, and opportunities for increased search visibility in AI Overviews and in search results of LLMs, then still what matters into concise, action items.
- A proven track record in the SEO industry (preferably with an in-house team), other digital marketing experience.
- Hands-on exposure to LLM or generative-AI workflows (e.g. prompt design, content generation, entity extraction), experience with automating.
- A strategic understanding of large scale SEO: your projects scale globally and bring measurable results.
- A handle on the latest developments in the SEO industry, particularly as it relates to AI, but only believe what you have tested yourself.
- A hardworking, proactive and self starting mentality; you take initiative, ownership and accountability, and are able to develop a project independently once goals are set.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create detailed specifications and documentation.
- Understanding of modern front-end markup (principally HTML and CSS).
- Product management experience.
- Excellent quantitative skills - proficiency with numbers and data analysis is needed.
- You have a familiarity and strong interest in AI technologies and SEO tooling (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming frog, Chat GPT, Gemini)
