We are looking for a **Head of HR Administration** to join our talented **HR Admin** team.
**As a Head of HR Admin you will**:
- Manage a team of 3 in Berlin, that handles German labor law and HR administration, as well as German and European payroll. One team member will also be in charge of our upcoming payroll and admin setup in Spain and Portugal. Therefore, local knowledge in those countries is a plus.
- Support your team in regards to global employment and freelancer contracts, HR related forms, confirmation and certificates with a high level of accuracy and GDPR compliance.
- Represent the team with excellent HR administration and labor law knowledge internally, but also towards authorities and external auditors.
- Decide and process complex HR business cases, as well as recognition of need for action in day-to-day operations.
- Support the Payroll Responsibilities on a monthly basis with knowledge and control of the trial payroll in a 4-eyes principle (currently for Germany and in the future also for other European entities).
- Process and communicate German labour law in order to advise the management on recommended policy updates to ensure proper compliance.
- Build and implement reliable HR processes and strategies on a global level in collaboration with our US HR team and international stakeholders.
- Be a trustful point of contact for managers and employees in any kind of sensitive and/or confidential situation to support with deep empathy, understanding and knowledge of HR processes.
- Bring a customer-focused approach to your work, helping to unpack an often complicated and overwhelming bureaucracy for a young, multicultural team.
- Research, recommend, and integrate emerging HR tech solutions to digitize existing processes and workflows.

**We are looking for a passionate Head of HR Administration, with**:
- Native German & fluent English is a must. This role often requires smooth communication with various authorities, auditors and local agencies. Spanish & Portuguese is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a HR Head or Senior HRBP role with increasing levels of autonomy and ownership in a high past start up / scale up environment and a company size of at least 200+ employees.
- 2+ years of payroll management, ideally in an international environment and cross-country team setup.
- Experience with leading a small team of different career levels.
- Extensive in-depth knowledge of German labor law is a must, in order to advise and guide your team, as well as our management.
- Ability to keep up with fast scaling international environment without loosing track.
- Must exercise infallible discretion with confidential, and sensitive information. Meticulous attention to detail and time sensitivity is a must.
- Excellent analytical skills, business judgement, and hands on problem-solving to all work streams.
- Experience with our (HR) Tools such as BambooHR, Jira and ADP is a plus.
