We’re searching for a Finance Property Business Partner in Berlin to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.
The Finance Property Business Partner will act as a key liaison between Operations, People & Culture and Finance, focused on the financial performance of our property operations and ensuring operational excellence in the delivery of core processes that provide the commercial foundation to ensuring our aparthotels / serviced apartments are operated to the highest standards to support edyn’s future growth.
**A role less ordinary.**
- Trusted partner to operations management team, acting as a key business partner and thought leader, advising and challenging, in order to influence decision making and improve business performance
- Ownership of financial aspects of new hotel openings process, including financial reporting setup
- Ensure pre-opening budgets tracked - roles hired in line with investment case and supporting the financial aspects of operational contract sourcing.
- Reporting to monthly close deadlines, the review of property level P&L’s including variance analysis, commentary and insight on financial results as well as the calculation of judgemental accruals such as bonus and other on property activity (where judgement is crucial).
- Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting including the performance review presented to our internal management committee and external investors and support of the quarterly board report.
- Analyse financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
**Who you are.**
- Professional qualifications (finance / business degree) and post qualified experience of 5 years+, knowledge of hospitality (preferred)
- Good understanding of operational finance and business partnering having dealt with different cross-cultural stakeholders and management team.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and build strong working relationships both in person and virtually.
- Experience preparing and presenting monthly performance/board reports, as well as experience of using a range of business intelligence and accounting systems
- Experience of improving the operational performance of the business through financial reporting, reviews and decision modelling with track record of delivering on financial targets/goals

**Our natural habitat.**
We believe in working flexibly - this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours. This may be ad hoc or permanent flexibility. Ask your recruiting manager or see our careers page for more information.
Our core working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but recognising this is a senior role with varying deadlines and requirements. The person will be expected to meet deadlines they set and own.
Ideally based in Berlin with some travel expected to the properties or the Bristol / London head office.
